Free knit coasters pattern!!

These coasters are so cute and give a little bit of a rustic feel to them. They have adorable tassels that hang down. This pattern is available on my Esty shop for $2.50 here or you can get it for free on my blog right here.

Skill level
Beginner: knowledge of basic knit (garter stitch), casting on and binding off. Also, some
slipping stitches with crochet hook.
Yarn: any weight yarn that is 4 strands thick (main color), plus lace yarn.
Needles: set of 2 5.0 mm knitting needles and any size crochet hook.
Extra: yarn needle, scissors.
Length (tassel ends): 5 ½”
Width: 3”
Gauge is not important for these coasters, just try to not knit too loose to avoid holes.

k knit
R(s) row(s)

Using both strands of yarn (main color and lace) cast on 15 sts.
R 1: k across.
Slip the 1st st of each row for remainder of pattern.

Rs 2-32: k across.
Bind off, fasten off.
Cut about 15-20 3” pieces of the main color yarn.

Split each piece in half so each piece is separated into pairs of 2 strands.

Using slip st and crochet hook, slip strands along cast on and bind off ends of coaster.

Weave in ends.
